We are a stand-alone, not-for-profit HomeServe Apprentice Academy offering apprenticeships for heating and plumbing engineers with a focus in the East Midlands region.
The Apprenticeship Academy website launched in September 2020 and our purpose is to support apprentices and employers – whether we have a relationship with them or not –
to unlock the Apprentice Levy and in doing so, help create the next generation of plumbing
and heating engineers.
How we'll support employers
We’re taking all of our experience as trade professionals as well as our training leadership experience and offering it to SMEs to help them. Ultimately, our aim is to help Customers find the very best tradespeople whomever they choose to use. In the coming weeks we'll be releasing tools and assets that will assist employers with:
Recruitment and selection
Onboarding, contracts, policies
Guidance on all paperwork
Access to funding and payroll advice
All certification
All training, assessment, and skills

- We have best-in-class training facilities in our dedicated training centre in Nottingham
- We have a team of dedicated & fully qualified trainers who, as well as being accredited, have been an apprentice, an engineer, and/or a trade employer themselves
- We’ll provide a professional working environment and will guide the apprentice through a typical working day
- We are a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation – all funding we receive goes to support your apprentice and back into the Apprenticeship Academy so we can continue to improve the service and support we give to UK trades.
