Delivering BPEC - level 3 - Diploma in Gas Engineering
This is a course we offer at the Academy and this will give an insight into how a course is structured and the types of subjects apprentices will learn.

Week 1
Understand and apply health and safety in gas utilisation.

Week 2
Understanding Scientific Principles in Gas Utilisation.
Weeks 2, 3 & 4
Understanding buildings, services and structures.
Weeks 5, 6 & 7
Understanding gas safety.
Weeks 8, 9 & 10
Specific core gas safety.
Week 11
Understanding combustion and properties of gas (natural gas and LPG).
Weeks 12 & 13
Install and maintain domestic gas water heaters and wet central heating appliances.
Week 14
Understand and apply domestic central heating system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques.
Weeks 15 & 16
Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques.
Weeks 17 & 18
Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Water Byelaws in the UK, and completion.
