At the Apprenticeship Academy, we’re keen to help the UK-wide shortage of trade skills through our industry-leading apprenticeship training academy.
We know choosing to take the apprenticeship route can be a difficult decision – much like buying a new car, you need the option to ‘try before you buy’ so to speak. This is where our Trade Skills Day comes into play, helping you to decide on your next steps.
At our state-of-the-art training facility, we’re here for you every step of the way. Guiding you on the steps you might want to take, from contacting a prospective employer, to training and timescales, and straight through to certification.
What to expect during our Trade Skills Day
Our Trade Skills Days run every 4-6 weeks, giving you the chance to get involved and step into the shoes of an apprenticeship tradie – seeing what an average day in our academy would be like.
Our next Trade Skills Day will take place on Thursday 14th of July 2022.
You can expect the following from the event:
- The session will run from 10am to 2pm
- You will be taken on a tour of the academy and have the chance to meet the tutors
- We will provide tips on CV and cover letter writing
- You can expect to receive interview prep
- We will give you the lowdown of tips for contacting an employer
- A practical session will be administered by the tutors, giving you the chance to really get stuck into the hands-on experience
- You will have a quick debrief with other apprentices at the academy so you can ask any questions about the course
